Semi-Static Ropes (Low-Stretch Ropes)

Semi-static ropes are more commonly used by arborists for climbing and work positioning due to their minimal stretch, providing stability and control.

  1. Namah Indus 11.5mm:

    • A popular choice among arborists for climbing. It has low stretch and excellent handling, making it ideal for work positioning in tree care.
  2. Namah Indus 13mm:

    • Known for its durability and easy handling, this semi-static rope is widely used in tree climbing and offers good resistance to abrasion and wear.
  3. Namah Indus 11mm:

    • Used in the arborist industry for climbing and rigging, known for its low elongation and high durability, especially in demanding environments.

Static Ropes

Static ropes are used in arboriculture primarily for rigging, hauling, and lowering operations. These ropes are designed to handle high loads with minimal stretch, ensuring control and safety during complex rigging task

Namah double braid 16mm:

A widely used double-braid static rope for rigging and lowering heavy loads. It offers high strength, low stretch, and excellent durability.

  1. Namah double braid 12.7mm:

    • This static rope is commonly used for rigging in tree work due to its strength and minimal elongation under load.
  2. Namah double braid 14mm:

    • Known for its strength and durability, this rope is often used in heavy rigging and load control during tree removal or pruning.

Dynamic Ropes

Dynamic ropes are generally not the primary choice in the arborist industry because they are designed to stretch under load, which is not ideal for positioning and rigging in tree work. However, they might be used in specific situations where fall arrest capabilities are necessary, such as during emergency rescue.

  1. Namah Lynx 1/2″ (12.7mm):

    • Although not a pure dynamic rope, this rope is sometimes used for applications requiring a mix of slight flexibility and strength in rescue scenarios.
  2. Bamah Lynx 10.5mm:

    • A dynamic rope that might be used in tree rescue situations where some degree of shock absorption is needed.

Specialty Ropes

Specialty ropes in arboriculture include throw lines, lanyards, and friction cords used for specific tasks like setting climbing lines, positioning, and backup safety.

  1. Throw Lines:
    • Namah throw Line (1.75mm or 2.2mm): Used to set climbing and rigging lines in trees. Made from lightweight Dyneema, it is strong, durable, and has low stretch.
  1. Friction Hitch Cords:

    • Namah Polyester 8mm : Popular for its durability and resistance to wear, commonly used in friction hitch systems for climbing.
